Malaysians will be able to apply for Social Security Organisation (Socso) benefits online starting January 1, 2026, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan announced today.
The move is aimed at making it more convenient for contributors to access their benefits without visiting Socso offices in person.
“Socso currently has 54 offices nationwide and 295 MyFutureJobs satellite centres. While these facilities exist, many contributors prefer a simpler process. From January 1, 2026, they can apply online via their phone or PC,” Ramanan said after visiting the Socso Tower.
The online platform, called the Lindung Benefits portal, will enable applications under the Employees’ Social Security Act 1969, the Self-Employment Social Security Act 2017, the Employment Insurance System Act 2017, and the Housewives’ Social Security Act 2022.
Applications will cover Permanent Disablement Benefit, Temporary Disablement Benefit, Invalidity Pension, Occupational Disease Benefit, Dependants’ Benefit, and Survivors’ Pension.
“With more than 200,000 Socso benefit applications submitted annually, the online system will streamline processes and reduce the need for contributors and bereaved family members to visit offices,” Ramanan added.
He also said Socso will continue exploring ways to expand access and opportunities for contributors to fully benefit from their social security contributions.
