Two Malaysians were injured after the Proton X50 sport utility vehicle (SUV) they were travelling in was struck by a bomb blast in Tak Bai district, Narathiwat province, southern Thailand, on Monday.

The explosion is believed to have occurred at about 11.41am local time near Mukim Phrai Wan in Tak Bai district.
