Umno has completed the RM50 million payment required for former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.
Party secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the Najib Razak Solidarity Fund, launched on September 18, had successfully collected enough contributions to meet the target.
He also expressed his gratitude to Umno members and Malaysians who had contributed to the fund.
