Water Slide Accident Leaves Two Women Hospitalised At Melaka Theme Park

Date:

Two women were injured after they allegedly slipped from an inflatable raft while using a water slide at a theme park and resort in Ayer Keroh here last Saturday.

Melaka Tengah district police chief Halim Abas said one of the victims, aged 46, suffered a blood clot in her head, while the second woman, 31, was diagnosed with a concussion.

The two women were visiting the theme park with several family members when the incident occurred. They were reportedly riding together on a double inflatable raft, with one seated in front and the other behind.

According to Halim, the raft struck an object while travelling down the slide, causing the head of one victim to hit the side of the slide. Both women reportedly lost consciousness following the impact.

They were subsequently taken to hospital for medical treatment. A CT scan on the 46-year-old woman detected a blood clot on the right side of her head, along with injuries to her chin and right knee and complaints of chest pain.

The 31-year-old woman reportedly had no recollection of the incident. Medical examinations found that she had suffered a concussion and body aches.

Police are gathering information on the incident, while the victims continue to receive medical attention following the water slide accident.
