Ahmad Maslan Warns Leaders: Ends Do Not Justify The Means

Date:

Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has warned political leaders against adopting the mindset that “the ends justify the means,” describing such an approach as unethical and dishonourable.

The Deputy Public Works Minister also cautioned against efforts to completely destroy political opponents, saying such actions have no place in ethical leadership.

Without referring to any specific party or issue, Ahmad stressed that all political actors should pursue their objectives through honourable means.

“Do not practise these two approaches in politics or in life: believing that the ends justify the means, and seeking to annihilate your enemies,” he said.

“These are unethical methods. Goals should be achieved through honourable and principled ways,” he added.
