Russia launched a fresh wave of drone and missile attacks on Ukraine overnight Monday, resulting in at least one fatality and multiple fires across Kyiv, officials reported.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said emergency responders and medical teams were actively working in four districts of the capital. Damage was reported at a central subway station, commercial buildings, shops, residences, and even a kindergarten.

Residents of Kyiv endured another tense and restless night, seeking refuge in underground shelters as explosions echoed across the city. Air defense units engaged to intercept and repel the assault. Meanwhile, Kharkiv region governor Oleh Synehubov confirmed multiple explosions in Ukraine’s second-largest city but did not provide details on the extent of damage.
