Deputy Speaker Scolds Two Ministers for Chatting During Debate

Date:

Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor reprimanded two deputy ministers for holding side conversations while a minister was answering a question in the Dewan Rakyat.

He specifically called out Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh and Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu, urging them to focus on the minister’s response instead of chatting during proceedings.

“Deputy Education Minister and Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister, do you have something you want to raise in the house? I think you’ve had enough discussion in the Cabinet,” he said, interrupting Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who was responding to a question from Datuk Seri Takiyuddin bin Hassan (PAS–Kota Baru).

“Please pay attention while the minister is answering. Take note,” Ramli added.
