Donald Trump Claims Destruction Of Iran’s Tallest Bridge In Military Strike

Date:

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s tallest bridge has been destroyed in a strike, with Iranian state media reporting casualties and damage following the incident.

According to reports, the attack resulted in eight deaths and left 95 others injured. Footage shared online by Trump showed smoke rising from the B1 bridge in Karaj, alongside warnings of further military action.

In a social media post, Trump stated: “The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again – Much more to follow!” He also urged Iran to agree to a deal to end what he described as a five-week conflict, warning that it was “time for Iran to make a deal before it is too late”.

The remarks followed an earlier address in which he vowed to intensify strikes, stating that Iran could be bombed “back to the Stone Ages” if it failed to comply with US demands. He also said the ongoing war involving Israel, which began on 28 February, was nearing its end.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the attack, describing it as targeting civilian infrastructure. In a post on X, he said that striking unfinished civilian structures would not force Iranians into surrender.

He further stated that such actions reflected what he described as the “defeat and moral collapse” of the opposing side. Iranian state television also reported that the bridge was hit in two separate US-Israeli strikes, with the second allegedly occurring while emergency teams were responding to the initial attack.

The B1 bridge, located in Alborz province, was still under construction and is considered the tallest in the Middle East, featuring a 447-foot column and situated about 20 miles southwest of Tehran. Trump, meanwhile, insisted the conflict would be resolved within weeks and reiterated threats of further large-scale military action if Iran did not comply.
