‘Enough Is Enough’: Sanusi Warns Perlis PN To Stop Infighting

Date:

PAS central election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor has urged Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders in Perlis to put an end to internal disputes and avoid repeating the conflicts that have previously plagued the coalition in the state.

Sanusi said he had issued the same warning before, but the infighting had instead become more serious.

“I told the people in Perlis not to fight, but they kept fighting, and it got even worse. Enough is enough,” he said.

He also criticised those who continued to ignore calls to resolve their differences, saying they now needed to take responsibility for their own problems.

“Insya-Allah, after this there will be no more fighting,” he said while winding up the debate on the PAS president’s policy speech at the 72nd PAS Annual Muktamar here today.

Sanusi’s remarks come amid growing tensions within PN in Perlis, after the state Youth wing urged PAS and PN’s top leadership to consider taking firm action against Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah, who it claimed was increasingly damaging the image of PN and PAS in the state.

The representative, Ali Na’imi Ahmad Azizi, reportedly said the matter should be taken seriously as Perlis is governed by a PN administration involving PAS, yet PAS elected representatives were allegedly being treated like opposition lawmakers.

The latest warning from Sanusi signals a renewed call for the coalition’s leaders in Perlis to resolve their differences and maintain unity within the state government.
