The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Raja Zarith Sofiah, have extended contributions to the widow of a fatal road accident victim in Klang, in a gesture of royal concern following the tragedy.
The donation was presented on their behalf by the Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja of Istana Negara, Tan Sri Datuk Dr Azmi Rohani, to Nor Nadia Abdul Majid, 32, at her residence in Selangor earlier today.
Also present during the visit were several Istana Negara officials, including the Religious Officer Datuk Munir Md Salleh, Legal Adviser Datuk Zulharry Abdul Rashid, Private Secretary to the Raja Permaisuri Agong Dr Nadia Monira Mohamed Taib, and Shah Alam district police chief ACP Ramsay Anak Embol.
According to a Facebook post by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, a short tahlil ceremony was also held during the visit at the late victim’s home in Section 16, Shah Alam, led by the Religious Officer of Istana Negara.
The deceased, Amirul Hafiz Omar, 33, died on 29 March after his motorcycle was struck by a car driven by an individual suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol and drugs along Jalan Raya Barat in Klang.
The impact of the crash caused the victim to be thrown onto the roof of another vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. He is survived by his wife and three children aged between two and nine years old.
Royal involvement in the case underscores continued concern for families affected by road tragedies, particularly those left behind with young dependents, as authorities continue to stress the importance of road safety and responsible driving.
