Kuching South Launches QR Code Survey to Improve City Services

Date:

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) is embracing technology to enhance services for residents by launching a QR code-based feedback survey to collect opinions on municipal services, facilities, and the overall living environment.

The launch took place at the MBKS Annual Dinner 2025 at Imperial Hotel last night, where Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian scanned the QR code in a symbolic gesture to officially unveil the MBKS Municipal Services Feedback Survey.

Hosted on Google Forms, the survey is designed to make it easier for residents to share their views and assist the council in improving cleanliness, park maintenance, and other city operations.

MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said the initiative reflects the council’s ongoing commitment to raising service standards, with a focus on strengthening municipal services.

“Our response time, cleanliness operations, park maintenance, and enforcement must continue to improve. We will expand smart city initiatives and digital services to ensure convenience, security, and accessibility for all,” he said.

He added that MBKS will further promote inclusivity through programs such as AUSOME PARK, Bank Sampah, Child Friendly Cities, and Age Friendly Cities.

“Additionally, we aim to support economic growth by keeping Kuching South clean, stable, and business-friendly. Strengthening internal talent through training, leadership development, and teamwork is essential—if we want greater achievements, we must grow together,” he said.

Also attending the event were MBKS Deputy Mayor Dato Zaiedi Suhaili and former mayors Datuk Song Swee Guan and Dato James Chan Khay Syn.
