Malaysia’s Passport Now Third Strongest Worldwide – Visa-Free Access to 174 Countries!

Malaysia’s passport has climbed to third place globally in the 2025 Passport Index, reflecting growing international recognition of the security and reliability of the country’s travel document.

The Immigration Department highlighted on its social media that Malaysian passport holders can enjoy visa-free access to 174 countries worldwide.

According to data from PassportIndex.org, the United Arab Emirates leads the global rankings, with Singapore and Spain jointly holding second place. Malaysia shares the third spot with 15 other countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Luxembourg, Italy, Denmark, Portugal, Switzerland, Greece, Austria, Norway, Ireland, and South Korea.

The ranking underscores Malaysia’s standing on the international stage and the trust placed in its passport for secure and seamless travel.
