MCA Rules Out Joining PN Amid Chinese Community Concerns

Date:

The MCA has ruled out the possibility of joining Perikatan Nasional (PN), pointing to strong resistance from the Chinese community over issues linked to Pas.

MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong said that although some quarters have urged the party to exit Barisan Nasional (BN) and align with the opposition, such a move is not on the table.

He explained that many Chinese voters continue to distrust PN, largely due to statements from Pas leaders that were viewed as insensitive toward non-Muslims.
