Melania Trump Denies Allegations Linking Her To Jeffrey Epstein

Date:

US First Lady Melania Trump has issued a surprise statement firmly denying unspecified allegations connecting her to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, a figure whose case has long cast a shadow over American political discourse.

The 55-year-old former model made the remarks during an unexpected on-camera appearance at the White House on Thursday (April 9), offering no explanation for the timing of her statement. The issue has periodically resurfaced in public debate, despite being repeatedly dismissed by those involved.

“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” she said, adding that individuals spreading such claims “are devoid of ethical standards, humility and respect.”

Born in Slovenia, Melania Trump strongly rejected any suggestion of association with Epstein, noting that “fake images and statements” have circulated online for years. She urged the public to be cautious, insisting the material is entirely false and misleading.

The First Lady also addressed past rumours involving Epstein, stressing she had never been involved in any wrongdoing, nor had she been present on Epstein’s private plane or visited his island. She further clarified that she has never been accused or convicted of any offence linked to his criminal activities.

Melania Trump also called for greater transparency, urging the US Congress to hold a public hearing for Epstein’s survivors so they can provide testimony under oath. Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, continues to be the subject of widespread public scrutiny.

The statement is expected to revive discussion surrounding the Epstein scandal at a time when media attention had begun shifting toward other international developments involving the Trump administration.
