Ministry Of Education To Hold Press Conference Over the Stabbing Case of Form 4 Girl

Date:

Malaysia’s Ministry of Education (MOE) will hold a special press conference this afternoon to address the tragic death of a female student at a school in Selangor earlier today. The briefing, led by Director-General of Education Dr. Mohd Azam Ahmad, is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the MOE headquarters in Putrajaya.

Earlier reports confirmed that a 14-year-old male student was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old Form Four girl at a secondary school in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya. Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said the incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. near the classroom within the school compound, and authorities are still investigating the motive behind the attack.

“The incident involved a 16-year-old student who has passed away, and at this stage, we cannot confirm the exact motive,” he said. Khalid added that the arrest has been made, and further details will be provided by the Selangor Police Chief.

The suspect, also a Form Two student, allegedly carried a knife and used it to stab the victim. Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the suspect due to his minor status.
