MOF Denies Viral ‘RM1,700 eMADANI Aid’ For Housewives, Single Mothers And Senior Citizens

Date:

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has denied claims circulating on social media about a supposed “RM1,700 eMADANI Aid” for housewives, single mothers and senior citizens.

In a brief statement today, MOF said the information was false and urged the public not to fall for the misleading claim.

“The public is advised not to be deceived, click on any suspicious links or share personal or banking information through unauthorised websites or accounts,” it said.

MOF also reminded Malaysians to verify information about government assistance and initiatives through official government channels before sharing it with others.

“Check first. Do not easily believe it. Do not spread false information,” the ministry said.

The warning came after a post claiming that the government was offering financial assistance to housewives, single mothers and senior citizens began circulating widely on social media.

The public is encouraged to remain cautious when encountering claims involving cash aid, particularly those requiring users to provide sensitive personal or banking details through unfamiliar links.
