Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri has been appointed as the new Director of the Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA) at Bukit Aman.
Mohd Yusri, who previously served as Director of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK), received congratulations from his former department following the announcement of his new role.
In a Facebook post, JPJKK Bukit Aman extended its best wishes, expressing pride over his appointment. The message highlighted appreciation for his service and dedication during his tenure with the department.
“Congratulations and well done to Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri on his appointment as Director of the Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA). Wishing you success in carrying out your duties and responsibilities for the force and the nation,” the statement read.
The position had been held in an acting capacity by Datuk Fisol Salleh following the retirement of former KDNKA director Datuk Seri Azmi Abu Kassim from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) on 15 December 2025.
