(South Seberang Perai, 25th) — Transport Minister Anthony Loke said that in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the Road Transport Department Malaysia, the government will continue to drive digitalisation reforms, including upgrading the MyJPJ application into a “super app” and integrating it with MyDigitalID to improve service efficiency and convenience for the public.
Speaking at a press conference after officiating the JPJ 80th anniversary celebration today, he said that with the upgrade, users will be able to complete more transactions through a single platform, while logging in via MyDigitalID using biometric authentication—eliminating the need to worry about forgotten passwords and significantly simplifying the process.

“Many users have complained about frequently forgetting their login passwords, and for security reasons, they are required to change them every six months, which can be inconvenient. With system integration, users will only need to log in using biometrics such as fingerprints or facial recognition through a single sign-on process. There will be no need to manually enter passwords, and the process can be completed in under two seconds—both secure and convenient,” he said.
He added during his speech that digital initiatives such as the JPJeBid system not only provide convenience to the public but have also effectively increased government revenue.
“Under an agreement with the Ministry of Finance, 50% of the revenue—about RM10 million—will be returned to the Ministry of Transport. This fund will be channelled back to the people through various social initiatives, including a free helmet replacement programme and sponsorships for the B40 group to obtain driving licences.”
He also said that during the celebration in Penang, authorities have prepared 5,000 new helmets for the public to exchange for free under a “trade-in” programme.
