Negeri Sembilan Bersatu Leaders Demand Action Against Chegubard for Undermining Party

Date:

Bersatu’s Negeri Sembilan chapter has called on the party’s top leadership to take disciplinary action against Port Dickson division chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin, better known as Chegubard, for allegedly tarnishing the party’s image.

Several state division chiefs, including Rasah and state Bersatu chief Hanifah Abu Baker, accused Chegubard of focusing on creating internal conflict and openly criticising party leadership.

“The Negeri Sembilan Bersatu leadership takes serious note of Chegubard’s repeated statements and press conferences, in which he openly criticised the president and the party,” they said in a joint statement today.

“They described his actions as extremely uncouth and undisciplined, contrary to the party’s code of conduct, damaging the organisation’s image, and undermining its stability. His behaviour reflects a clear intent to disrupt the party from within rather than a healthy expression of differing opinions,” the statement added.

The call for disciplinary action comes after Utusan Malaysia reported that Badrul had said Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin should resign if he failed to order his son-in-law, Adlan Berhan, to return for questioning by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
