Onn Hafiz Launches BN Johor Manifesto Under Maju Johor Theme

Date:

Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor has unveiled its manifesto for the 16th Johor State Election, outlining 63 commitments built on six “Maju Johor” pillars under the theme “Maju Johor, Kestabilan Dikekalkan, Kemajuan Diteruskan.”

BN Johor chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the manifesto was formulated based on the coalition’s four years of governance experience and current needs of the people in the state.

He said the trust given by voters in the previous election had enabled the state administration to implement various initiatives and policies aimed at Johor’s development.

“Alhamdulillah, four years ago, Bangsa Johor entrusted BN to lead this state. During this period, we have worked on and achieved many things together,” he said in a Facebook post.

He added that the manifesto’s 63 commitments are anchored on six key development pillars under the Maju Johor framework.

Among the key pledges are strengthening the targeted Bantuan Kasih Johor (BKJ), introducing housing deposit assistance schemes for young people, improving access to affordable housing through a RM100 million fund, and continuing first-home and rental assistance programmes.

BN also aims to create 200,000 quality job opportunities for Johor youths, waive business licence fees for small traders in the first year, and expand a RM100 million interest-free microfinancing fund.

In addition, the coalition plans to increase the participation of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in strategic investment supply chains, strengthen the Johor Youth Education Fund with a RM100 million allocation, continue student incentives for Johor youths, and implement the Semarak Isya’ programme.

Onn Hafiz stressed that all commitments are not merely election promises but are based on proven governance and the coalition’s ability to deliver development initiatives.

He urged voters to continue supporting BN, saying it is important to ensure ongoing development projects are not disrupted.

In the 2022 Johor state election, BN formed the state government after winning 40 of the 56 state seats, while Pakatan Harapan secured 12 seats, Perikatan Nasional three, and MUDA one.
