Onn Hafiz Leaves Johor Election Outcome In Voters’ Hands

Date:

Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the decision on the outcome of the Johor state election rests entirely with voters.

He said the voting process at polling centres so far had proceeded smoothly, with favourable weather conditions allowing voters to carry out their responsibilities without major disruptions.

“Alhamdulillah, based on what I have seen, the atmosphere among the people of Johor casting their votes today is good. The weather also appears to be favourable.

“I would like to wish all Johoreans a happy voting day,” he said after casting his ballot at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Simpang Renggam in Kluang on Saturday morning.

When asked about his expectations for the state election, Onn Hafiz said the results would only be known after the voting and counting processes were completed.

“We will wait until this afternoon,” he said briefly.

Onn Hafiz, who is also the BN candidate for the Machap state seat, arrived at the polling centre at about 8.05am.

He was among the candidates and voters who turned up early to fulfil their responsibility as the state’s 16th election took place across 56 state constituencies.
