PM Anwar Takes Jab At Azmin Over Claims He Won’t Return To PKR

Date:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has taken a swipe at former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali after the latter said he had no intention of returning to the party.

Asked about Azmin’s remarks after opening the 2026 National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today, Anwar questioned whether the former PKR leader had ever been invited back.

“Did anyone invite him? Was there an offer? I was not informed,” Anwar told reporters.

When reminded that he had previously spoken about welcoming veterans of the Reformasi movement back into PKR, Anwar responded with a pointed remark.

“Yes, otai. Is he (Azmin) an otai?” he quipped.
