Rosmah’s High-Stakes Move: Court of Appeal to Decide Judge’s Fate in RM1.25B Solar Case

Malaysia’s legal drama isn’t over yet! This Wednesday, all eyes are on the Court of Appeal as Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor fights to have Justice Datuk Mohamed Zaini Mazlan removed from her blockbuster RM1.25 BILLION hybrid solar project case.

Remember 1 September 2022? That’s when Rosmah, 74, was slammed with 10 years in prison + a jaw-dropping RM970 million fine over three corruption charges linked to solar panels for 369 rural Sarawak schools. Now she’s asking for a new judge – and possibly a whole new trial.

If the panel led by Datuk Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim (joined by Datuk Azman Abdullah and Datuk Noorin Badaruddin) says “yes” at 9 a.m. Wednesday, the case could start fresh under a new judge. If “no”? She’s down to her final shot at the Federal Court.
