Russian luxury carmaker Aurus Motors has presented Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim with one of its flagship Senat limousines during his official visit to Moscow.

The presentation took place at the Museum of the Special Purpose Garage in Moscow, where around 50 rare vehicles, including unique cars and motorcycles, were on display.
According to a statement on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, the gift reflects the close diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Russia. It noted that the Aurus Senat is not available for export and is rarely owned outside Russia.
The Aurus brand is also known as the official state vehicle for Russia’s top leadership, including frequent use by President Vladimir Putin during official duties and high-level diplomatic events. The marque is recognised for its combination of advanced engineering, luxury craftsmanship and high-level security features.
The Senat limousine is an ultra-luxury armoured vehicle often referred to as the “Russian Rolls-Royce”. It is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine, equipped with all-wheel drive, and features a handcrafted interior designed for comfort and protection.
The vehicle will reportedly be added to Sultan Ibrahim’s private collection of luxury and classic automobiles housed in Johor Bahru.
Sultan Ibrahim was in Moscow at the invitation of President Putin to attend the Victory Day celebrations, marking the defeat of Nazi Germany in the Second World War. He also became the first Malaysian Head of State to be a guest of honour at the military parade.
In a further diplomatic gesture, the King has extended an invitation for President Putin to visit Malaysia next year, which will mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
