Umno Youth Chief Dr Akmal Saleh, recently criticized others for errors in displaying the national flag—but netizens quickly dug up his own mistakes. It turns out he previously posted social media content featuring the flag with the wrong number of stripes. Even in videos, the T-shirt he wore displayed an incorrectly striped flag.
Known as “Superman,” Hew Kuan Yau shared graphics on Facebook showing Akmal wearing a T-shirt with the national flag, which only had 12 red-and-white stripes instead of the correct number.
Additionally, Akmal’s 2023 National Day posters also contained numerous flag errors, showing flags with 15, 5, 6, or even 9 stripes, rather than the official 14.
Hew further poked fun at Akmal by playfully changing his name from Akmal Saleh to Akmal “Salah”.
