The Home Ministry (KDN) has clarified that the passport and MyKad designs circulating on social media are not official and were not issued by the ministry.
KDN stated that the visuals are unauthentic and do not represent the actual design or security features of the new passport or MyKad as claimed online.

“All official information regarding the design and security features of the passport and MyKad will be announced by KDN through its official communication channels from time to time,” the ministry said on Tuesday.
The public is reminded to always obtain information from legitimate and authoritative sources to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
Previously, the Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, officially announced plans for the implementation of the new passport and MyKad during a press conference on January 8.
