Carles Pérez Suffers Groin Injury in Dog Fight Incident

Date:

Aris Thessaloniki winger Carles Pérez has been sidelined after suffering a groin injury in a bizarre dog attack, according to local media reports on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Spaniard was reportedly walking his own dog when he was bitten in the genitals by another dog while trying to break up a fight between the animals. The bite caused a deep wound, and Pérez required hospital treatment.

The incident occurred shortly after Pérez featured in Aris Thessaloniki’s 2-1 loss to Araz-Nakhchivan in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League’s second qualifying round.

Due to the injury, Pérez is expected to miss the return leg in Thessaloniki.
