Haaland Hilariously Agrees With Fans Comparing Him To Dragon Ball’s Majin Buu

Date:

Norway striker Erling Haaland has sent fans into a frenzy after admitting he doesn’t disagree with one of the internet’s funniest comparisons — that he looks like Majin Buu from the iconic Dragon Ball series.

While the 2026 FIFA World Cup has produced plenty of memorable moments on the pitch, Haaland has also become one of the tournament’s biggest talking points off it.

The latest viral discussion began after popular US pop culture Instagram account hidden.ny shared a side-by-side image comparing Haaland with the powerful Dragon Ball villain, pointing out similarities in their hairstyle and signature grin.

The post quickly sparked thousands of reactions, with football fans joking that the Norwegian goal machine bears an uncanny resemblance to the famous anime character.

Haaland then joined the conversation himself, leaving a comment that read: “I mean I don’t disagree.”

His playful response instantly went viral, attracting nearly 80,000 likes and delighting fans across social media.

The comparison goes beyond appearances, with many supporters also drawing parallels between Haaland’s incredible dominance on the football field and Majin Buu’s overwhelming strength in the Dragon Ball universe.

This isn’t the first time Haaland has been compared to a fictional character. Fans have previously joked that the Norwegian striker also resembles Daemon Targaryen from the hit fantasy series House of the Dragon.
