Moto3 Sensation Hakim Danish Eyes Hungary Glory After Historic Mugello Podium

Date:

Malaysia’s rising Moto3 star, Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli, is determined to carry his winning momentum into this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix after achieving a career-defining result in Italy.

The 19-year-old rider heads to the Balaton Park Circuit full of confidence following his breakthrough podium finish at the Moto3 World Championship round in Mugello, where he secured an impressive third-place finish on Sunday.

Hakim Danish’s achievement was significant not only for his personal career but also for Malaysian motorsport, ending a decade-long wait for the Jalur Gemilang to return to a Moto3 podium. The result has further strengthened belief that the young Terengganu-born rider is emerging as one of the championship’s brightest talents.

Representing the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi team, Hakim Danish described the Mugello race as a valuable learning experience. Competing among the world’s fastest riders until the final laps provided him with crucial insights into race management, strategic decision-making and maintaining composure under intense pressure.

“After Mugello, I feel even more motivated and excited for the challenge in Hungary. I learned a lot about managing races more maturely and staying calm throughout the competition,” he said.

The rider from Kampung Surau Panjang, Kuala Terengganu, revealed that battling within the lead group for only the second time in his Moto3 career gave him a deeper understanding of how to handle his machine during the crucial closing stages of a race.

“I gained valuable experience racing against some of the fastest riders in the world. Learning how to manage the bike over the final five laps was something very special and meaningful for me,” he added.

Despite the confidence boost from Italy, Hakim Danish remains focused on adapting quickly to the Balaton Park Circuit, a venue he has never raced at before. His priority is to become competitive from the opening free practice session and build momentum throughout the weekend.

The young Malaysian wasted no time preparing for the next round, returning to his base in Spain immediately after the Mugello race. There, he reviewed race footage and conducted detailed performance analysis to identify areas for improvement ahead of the eighth round of the season.

Alongside technical preparations, Hakim Danish has continued his regular physical and mental training routines to ensure he arrives in Hungary in peak condition.

His remarkable Mugello performance has propelled him to 11th place in the overall Moto3 World Championship standings with 43 points after seven rounds. Even more encouraging, he has now secured four top-10 finishes this season, reinforcing his growing reputation as one of Moto3’s most exciting young prospects.
