Tiger Woods was reportedly found in possession of two loose hydrocodone pills during his arrest following a driving under the influence incident on March 27, according to a police report cited by media outlets.
The 50-year-old golfer allegedly told officers he had been using his mobile phone and adjusting the car radio shortly before the crash, which occurred when his Range Rover rolled over after colliding with a trailer being towed by a truck.
The report also stated that Woods appeared visibly impaired at the scene, with officers noting excessive sweating, sluggish movements, and signs of lethargy. His eyes were described as bloodshot and glassy, with significantly dilated pupils observed after he removed his sunglasses.
Authorities further said Woods admitted to taking prescribed medication earlier that morning but denied consuming alcohol or illegal substances. He also acknowledged taking “a few” medications when questioned.
During a search, officers allegedly discovered two white pills marked “M367” in his pocket, which were identified as hydrocodone, an opioid painkiller commonly used for severe pain management.
Woods agreed to undergo field sobriety and breathalyser tests but reportedly refused to provide a urine sample. While he tested zero for alcohol, authorities proceeded with a DUI arrest based on suspected impairment.
He was charged with DUI, property damage, and refusal to comply with a lawful test, and was held at Martin County Jail for approximately eight hours before being released.
Speaking to the media, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said the crash occurred near Jupiter Island after the vehicle overturned on its side. He confirmed that officers responded to reports of a rollover collision involving Woods’ vehicle and a pickup truck towing equipment.
The sheriff added that while no alcohol was detected, investigators observed signs of impairment and proceeded with the arrest following roadside evaluations.
Woods is scheduled to appear in court in April as the investigation continues.
