SpaceX Delays 10th Starship Test Flight Amid Launchpad Issues

Date:

SpaceX’s Starship did not launch last night, as engineers worked to troubleshoot an undisclosed problem with the launchpad infrastructure.

It was unclear when the next launch attempt would take place. Federal Aviation Administration documents showed liftoff opportunities for Monday and Tuesday evenings, with launch windows opening around 7:10–7:15 p.m. ET. Tomorrow was considered potentially unfeasible, as in previous cases, if fueling had already begun when a launch was called off, SpaceX typically waited around 48 hours before attempting liftoff again.

Delays were common in the space industry. Weather, technical challenges, and other unforeseen issues often pushed back launch schedules. With Starship, the stakes were even higher, as the rocket represented a completely new and unprecedented launch system.
