Nine Women Arrested After Illegal Condo Plastic Surgery Clinics Busted in Cheras, Bukit Jalil

Date:

The Malaysian Immigration Department has shut down two illegal plastic surgery clinics operating out of condominium units in Cheras and Bukit Jalil, following coordinated raids under Ops Dandan last week.

The operation, led by the Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department, resulted in the arrest of seven Vietnamese women and two local women. A total of 44 officers were involved in the simultaneous raids.

A video shared by the department shows enforcement officers entering a Cheras condominium unit where a surgery was reportedly in progress, revealing a makeshift operating theatre set up inside a bedroom.

Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff said the raids were the result of two months of surveillance and intelligence-gathering by the department’s Special Tactical Unit.

He added that the illegal clinics, operated from residential properties, relied on foreign doctors to perform unauthorised cosmetic procedures.

Authorities also seized RM9,070 in cash, surgical instruments, unapproved medicines, and implant devices.

The case is being investigated under multiple provisions of the Immigration Act, including Sections 55E, 56(1)(d), 39(b), 6(1)(c), 15(1)(c), and Regulation 39(b).
