Three cars were damaged in a fire that broke out this morning in a mixed residential and commercial area along Jalan SS 9A/10 in Sungai Way. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Photos from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department showed vehicles engulfed in flames as firefighters battled the blaze with water hoses. Thick smoke was seen rising into the air along the narrow street.

Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, the department’s assistant director of operations, said an emergency call was received at 9.40am, prompting the dispatch of a fire rescue truck from the Petaling Jaya station.
“Upon arrival, the operations commander reported that three vehicles were involved. A Perodua Myvi sustained about 20% damage, a Honda Accord about 50%, while a third vehicle, which could not be identified, was completely destroyed,” he said in a statement.
Mukhlis confirmed that the fire did not spread to any nearby structures and that no victims were reported. The blaze was brought under control at 10.02am and was fully extinguished shortly after.
