Céline Dion embraced her mischievous side this Christmas Eve, sharing a playful video on Instagram in which she dressed as the Grinch and recreated an iconic scene from the 2000 movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
In the video, the 57-year-old singer sits by a fireplace with a dog on her lap, singing the chorus from her hit song All by Myself. Dion humorously narrates her busy day: “Four o’clock, exercise my voice. 4:30, wake my children up. 5, solve world hunger, tell no one… 6:30, dinner with me, I can’t cancel that again! 7, wrestle with my creative ideas. I’m booked!”
She adds, “If I bumped my creative ideas to 9, I’ll still have time to lay in bed and scroll TikTok videos endlessly. Or, I can just simply wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.” Dion concludes by returning to her song: “When I was young, I never needed anyone.” She captioned the post: “Silent night? Not on my watch…”
This festive post comes about a month after Dion shared a heartfelt Thanksgiving message with fans, encouraging them to slow down and cherish time with loved ones. Diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, Dion has made few public appearances since, though she has recently attended live music events, including Paul McCartney’s Las Vegas concert and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour, where frontman Chris Martin serenaded her during the show.
