A futuristic flying vehicle straight out of Star Wars is now a reality — and it’s officially up for grabs. Polish startup Volonaut has announced that its viral Airbike — a sleek, one-person speeder bike capable of flying at 124mph — is heading into limited production, priced at a jaw-dropping £649,000 ($880,000).

Earlier this year, the Airbike made waves online with footage that many dismissed as CGI. But Volonaut just released new flight videos with original audio, insisting the craft is 100% real, not AI-generated or digitally manipulated. The loud, jet-powered bike is reportedly stabilized by a proprietary flight system and computer that allows it to hover with surprising control.
Founder and inventor Tomasz Patan says building a real-life flying bike that looks like something off a sci-fi movie set has been his lifelong dream — and he’s finally made it happen. For those without a pilot’s license, a commercial version of the hoverbike capped at 63mph is also in the works, designed to meet ‘ultralight’ regulations and be flown in non-populated areas.
Volonaut claims the Airbike is “the world’s first of its kind” — combining jet propulsion, real-time stabilization, and iconic design that blurs the line between science fiction and reality.
