KL Nursery Abuse Caught on CCTV: Baby Slapped and Thrown, One Suspect Detained

Date:

Police have arrested a 26-year-old woman in connection with suspected child abuse at a nursery in Taman Desa Petaling, following multiple reports of mistreatment of infants.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Aidil Bolhassan confirmed that authorities received three reports involving alleged abuse of two babies, aged six and nine months. “The case is now being investigated at the contingent level,” he said.

The allegations surfaced after a mother shared CCTV footage showing her six-month-old being thrown, rolled, and slapped by a caregiver. In a social media post, the mother described the incident as devastating, revealing that her child had suffered abuse alongside other infants.

“One suspect has been detained, but I am still waiting for a second arrest,” she wrote, urging other parents to exercise caution when sending their children to the nursery.

Police investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend any additional individuals involved.
