A video showing a motorcyclist slapping his bike seat and bouncing as though riding a galloping horse has gone viral on social media, drawing both laughter and criticism from viewers.
The clip, recorded from inside a car and shared on Facebook by user Muhammad Fariz Fadzil, shows a motorcycle travelling ahead of the vehicle. In the video, the rider is seen repeatedly slapping the back of his seat in a “giddy-up” motion before bouncing up and down on the motorcycle. Towards the end of the footage, he even stands up while the bike is still in motion.
The person filming can be heard laughing throughout the video.
The post was captioned, “Like riding a horse. Not just in KL, even in SP there are all sorts of people,” referring to Kuala Lumpur and Sungai Petani.
Many social media users responded with humour, focusing on how the rider appeared to be mimicking horseback riding. One user, Amir Aziz, joked, “No horse, so a motorcycle will do.” Another commenter, Al Mitra, wrote, “Didn’t get enough of his illegal street racing days, it’s carried on into old age,” while Badrul Benetton quipped, “On the way to the bank because his salary and three months’ bonus just came in.”
However, not all reactions were light-hearted. Some criticised the act of recording and sharing the video, suggesting the motorcyclist may be dealing with personal issues that led to the unusual behaviour.
Ashadi Saleh commented, “You recorded it, then you spread someone’s shame, and you laughed happily after spreading another person’s shame.”
