An Arrowhead Stadium employee had an emotional moment with Taylor Swift on Christmas Day.
After Swift, 36, attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ game to support her fiancé, tight end Travis Kelce, she surprised stadium employees with generous tips. One worker, Robyn, shared her experience on the Facebook group Taylor Swift’s Vault.
Robyn wrote that she was completing her end-of-season tasks and talking with co-workers when Donna Kelce and then Travis Kelce arrived, followed by Swift. The singer greeted everyone with “Merry Christmas” before approaching Robyn, saying, “Thank you so much for working on Christmas, please take this.”
“They were smiling so big and kept saying ‘Merry Christmas, thank you for working on Christmas,’” Robyn recalled. “My mind just froze. Of course, I said ‘Merry Christmas and thank you so much.’”
After they left, Robyn discovered Swift had left her a $600 tip—equivalent to her two-week paycheck. “I had just spent that much for Christmas for eight kids,” she wrote. “I immediately started crying. I came home and can’t bring myself to spend it, so I framed it. Still haven’t spent any.”
Robyn shared the story to celebrate Swift and Kelce’s generosity. She concluded, “Taylor and Travis are beautifully kind people. It’s very true, incredible and very kind people. Merry Christmas and happy birthday to me.”
Before Swift’s gesture, Kelce had already moved fans with what could have been his final home game at Arrowhead Stadium. The NFL veteran told reporters he was feeling “a whole lot of emotions” and reflected on sharing the experience with younger players. When asked about retirement, Kelce said, “I’ll let that be a decision I’ll make with my family, friends, and the Chiefs organization when the time comes.”
