Action star Jackie Chan has surprised fans by revealing that he has already recorded a farewell song to be released after his death.

The 71-year-old shared the revelation on Dec 28 during a promotional event for his upcoming film Whispers of Gratitude. Jackie said the song was specially produced by a team and will remain unreleased until the day he passes away.

Speaking candidly, Jackie said losing many friends and relatives over the years has shaped his outlook on life.

“I’ve said goodbye to too many people. Everyone will die eventually, and everyone will grow old,” he said.

He added that this awareness has changed the way he lives, explaining that he now prefers to say what he wants to say and do what he wants to do without dwelling on uncertainties about the future.

Addressing online comments about his greying hair and ageing appearance, Jackie responded with grace and humour.

“Thank you for remembering what I looked like decades ago. Everyone gets old,” he said, adding that he considers it a blessing to be able to age gradually.

Jackie’s remarks struck an emotional chord with fans, offering a rare glimpse into the legendary actor’s reflective mindset as he continues his decades-long career in the entertainment industry.
