Wrong-Way Crash Claims Life of 24-Year-Old Rider in Johor

A tragic accident claimed the life of a 24-year-old motorcyclist after he entered the wrong lane and collided head-on with an SUV in Kota Tinggi.

According to a statement from Kota Tinggi Police Chief Superintendent Yusoff, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. yesterday along the road from Mawai to Kuala Sedili. The crash involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a Perodua Alza SUV.

Investigations revealed that the motorcyclist, a local man, had entered the opposite lane before crashing into the oncoming vehicle. He sustained multiple severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been sent to Kota Tinggi Hospital for further procedures. The 61-year-old SUV driver was unharmed.

Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and are urging all road users to remain vigilant and obey traffic rules to ensure safety for everyone.
