Comedian Shuib Fined RM10,000 for Promoting Vape Product on YouTube

Comedian Shahmira Muhamad, better known as Shuib, was fined RM10,000 by the magistrate’s court today for promoting a vaping product on a YouTube podcast two years ago.

Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah warned that the 42-year-old would face one year in jail if he fails to pay the fine.

The sentence followed Shahmira’s guilty plea to an amended charge under Section 9(3) of the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health 2024, which regulates the promotion of smoking and vaping products.
