PM Anwar Visits Schools, Urges Stronger Parent-Teacher Collaboration

Date:

Education will continue to be a national priority to shape a future generation that is knowledgeable, ethical, and resilient, in line with the Malaysia Madani vision, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar emphasized that the success of the education system does not rely solely on government policies and funding, but requires close cooperation between the government, parents, and educators.

“Strong collaboration among all parties is essential to ensure children receive comprehensive support, both at school and at home,” he said in a Facebook post on Monday.

The Prime Minister, together with his wife, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, visited several schools to monitor the distribution of Back-to-School Aid (BAP) and to engage with students on the first day of the new school term. The visits included Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Besi, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Kwong Hon, and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Sungai Besi.

“Seeing their excitement and bright faces reminds us that each child carries not only the hopes of their parents but also the confidence of their teachers and the aspirations of the nation,” he said.

Anwar added that schools are not only places of learning but also serve as early spaces for shaping character, discipline, and identity, essential for nurturing a generation capable of facing future challenges with confidence and determination.
