A man in Kelantan has been arrested after allegedly threatening to kill his two-year-old daughter at a jetty in Tok Bali, Pasir Puteh.
The incident happened on Jan 14 at Jalan Pak Mayong, where the man was seen bringing the toddler to the edge of a jetty while holding shards from a broken bottle.
Pasir Puteh district police chief Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria said an initial urine test showed the suspect had tested positive for methamphetamine. Investigations are ongoing to determine what led to the incident.
“The child did not suffer any injuries and has been taken to Tengku Anis Hospital for further medical checks and monitoring,” he said.
Police are continuing their investigation and will take action in accordance with the law. The public has been advised not to speculate or spread unverified information that could affect the case.
