Johor Dad Wins RM12.73 Million Betting on Daughter’s Lucky Board Game Numbers

Date:

A 30-year-old entrepreneur from Johor has won RM12.73 million after betting on numbers chosen by his daughter during a board game.

The e-commerce businessman shared that he often plays board games with his daughter, and when she started picking numbers in one session, he decided to place a bet using them. “She’s truly my lucky star,” he said in a statement released by STM Lottery Sdn Bhd.

He only realized he had hit the jackpot after scanning his ticket using the Sports Toto mobile app. “The unexpected notification left my wife and me in disbelief. We could barely sleep that night, trying to convince ourselves that we had really won,” he added.

The family plans to use the winnings to buy a house, as they are currently renting, and to invest in long-term financial security, including his daughter’s education. “I am very grateful for this jackpot. It has made our lives much easier and secured a better future for our family,” he said.
