MetMalaysia Warns of Nokaen, But Malaysia Safe for Now

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an advisory on Tropical Storm Nokaen, currently located at latitude 16.6°N and longitude 126.5°E, approximately 479 kilometers northeast of Naga City, Philippines.

According to MetMalaysia’s statement today, as of 8 a.m., the storm is moving east-northeast at a speed of 10 km/h, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h.

The storm is situated about 1,502 kilometers northeast of Pitas, Sabah, and is not expected to pose any significant threat to Malaysia.
