15-Year-Old Girl Missing After Argument With Mother

Date:

The mother of a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday (Jan 17) has made a public appeal for her daughter to return home, saying the family is deeply worried about her safety.

According to China Press, the teenager, Huang Qiaoen (transliteration), was last seen leaving her grandparents’ home at around 11pm and has not been contactable since.

Huang’s mother, identified as Ms Ji, said the disappearance followed an argument between them after Huang skipped school last Friday (Jan 16).

Ms Ji believes her daughter may have run away in anger after the dispute. She also shared concerns that Huang had been mixing with friends outside school and may be in a relationship, which could have influenced her decision to leave.

“I’ve received information that she was seen in Kepong and Selayang, but we still don’t know where she is now,” she said.

Ms Ji added that this is not the first time Huang has run away from home, noting that a similar incident occurred last year before Huang eventually returned safely.

A single mother since her husband’s passing, Ms Ji admitted that her impatience sometimes led to disagreements with her daughter.

“Since she went missing, I can’t eat or sleep. My parents-in-law are also struggling and often cry in secret,” she said, adding that she has taken leave from work due to distress.

Ms Ji also shared that Huang hopes to pursue a career in makeup and beauty, saying she will fully support her daughter’s ambitions once she completes her studies.

Anyone with information on Huang’s whereabouts is urged to contact Ms Ji at 017-6826981, her aunt at 019-6548837, or 012-6722859.
