Epic King Cobra Showdown in Malaysian Home Leaves Netizens Stunned

Date:

A 47-second video showing a man confronting a massive king cobra has gone viral on social media, drawing both awe and amusement. In the clip, the man wields a machete as he faces the venomous snake, while two female voices repeatedly shouting “Heri” add an unexpected layer of tension — and fear — for viewers.

The video was shared on Facebook by the Malaysian Animal Association (Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia).

At the start of the video, the man swings his machete toward a corner, prompting the cobra to rise about two feet high in a defensive stance. After the machete strikes the snake, it retreats into the house, but the man then grabs the snake’s tail with his bare hands and drags it outside.

The Malaysian Animal Association emphasized that untrained individuals should never handle venomous snakes, and recommended seeking help from professionals such as the fire and rescue department or civil defense to avoid potential injuries or fatalities.

The organization added, “Courage is good, but wisdom (Bijak) is even better.”

Social media users found humor in the video, noting that the two women’s screaming voices contributed little to the snake-handling, with some joking that they even thought the cobra’s name was “Heri.”
