Bandar Utama Murder: 15-Year-Old Accused of Murder to Face Full Trial at Shah Alam High Court

Date:

The 15-year-old student charged with the murder of his 16-year-old schoolmate in Bandar Utama last October will now face a full trial at the Shah Alam High Court.

Magistrate Amira Sariaty Zainal ordered the case transferred to the High Court after the prosecution obtained consent to proceed under Section 177A of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Defence lawyer Kitson Foong confirmed that the case is expected to move forward to a full trial. “The charge currently stands under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. The prosecution has reviewed the evidence and believes it is sufficient to proceed,” he said.

The transfer marks a key step in the legal process as authorities prepare for the formal trial of the teenage suspect.
