A woman in Tawau, Sabah, had a frightening experience after an elderly man approached her at a fast-food restaurant, initially asking for money for petrol but later attempting to spy on her in the restroom.
The incident, shared by the woman’s friend in a viral Facebook post, occurred at a restaurant in the Fajar area. While waiting for her friend to arrive, the woman reported that the man approached her holding a papaya and requested RM10 for petrol. She gave him the money, but he demanded more. After explaining that she had no more cash, he left temporarily.
Later, when the woman went to the restroom on the upper floor, she noticed the man trying to peek inside. Startled, she banged on the door, causing him to flee. A nearby group of people tried to catch him, but he escaped.
The friend shared the story as a cautionary tale, urging women to remain vigilant when alone, noting that the man is reportedly a frequent presence in the area.
