PM Anwar Gives Authorities Green Light To Crack Down On Unauthorised Houses Of Worship

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has directed local councils and relevant authorities to take firm action against unauthorised houses of worship, emphasising that enforcement must follow the law.

“We will no longer permit anything that does not comply with regulations,” he said, adding that legal and enforcement bodies have been empowered to clear areas not officially designated for temples, ensuring the matter is resolved properly.

Anwar made the statement during the Ministry of National Unity’s monthly assembly today.
